Shiatsu

Shiatsu is an holistic form of healing bodywork from Japan. It is extremely relaxing to receive, relieving the body of physical and emotional tension.
The practitioner skilfully uses her bodyweight to apply gentle or deep pressure with her palms, fingers and thumbs. A combination of stretches and rotations are also used to increase energy flow. It has the added advantage that the client has no need to remove their clothes for the treatment.

Shiatsu creates a balance in the body’s energy and the aim of shiatsu is to treat the underlying cause of the pain, disease or distress and not just the presenting symptoms.
Shiatsu restores health, increases vitality and produces high levels of pain relief for a wide variety of conditions.
